We made it safely to Guangzhou!

And we LOVE IT HERE! It's like paradise!

So *of course* we ate at Lucy's for dinner last night (Friday night for us) after we arrived! And boy let me tell you - this girl will eat everything! She had grilled cheese, fries AND some of my pesto spaghetti. We're hoping she'll be able to teach a thing or two to Angel and Lovebug when we go home! LOL. She still isn't drinking as much as we'd like, but we love how adventerous she is!!

Here's Sunshine goofing around in our hotel room - the toy of the hour was our boarding passes from the flight here. EVERYTHING makes this child happy! It's wonderful!

The insanely gorgeous night view from the White Swan. That's the Pearl River and mainland. We are on Shamian Island. It reminds us so much here of a mix between a resort in Disney World and the Inner Harbor. It's fantastic! The breeze coming off the water felt heavenly and the smoggy smell of the boats took as right back home ... for a few minutes anyway :-)

Here's DH playing with Sunshine while we were sitting outside enjoying the view and weather. Sorry about the color and grain - funky lighting and complete darkness are interesting! Not the most flattering picture of DH but it's still adorable!

On the agenda tomorrow - Sunshine's medical exam at 9:30am (that's 9:30pm on Friday on the East Coast). I think we have the rest of the day to ourselves, thank goodness we are here now! Lots to do. We are going to look into the service times for the Christian Church here ... our guide has a tour scheduled for Sunday morning, so we're hoping for a different service time OR we will ask her to move the tour to a different time. We're hopeful! The service here is in Mandarin and English - SO COOL!

  1. Isn't it great arriving at the White Swan??? We went to that church on Easter Sunday - it was a really neat experience and one that I would recommend if you can figure the schedule out with your guide. Hope the medical appt wasn't too chaotic for you. Was it fun to meet up with the Hosterts?
