Tea House

When Lisa took us inside of a Carrefour for the Tea House, I have to admit - I thought it was a little strange. LOL. I actually thought we were going shopping first! But apparently this place is well-known because you can come and taste the tee for free. And taste we did! We started out with a green tea that was very nice ... then we had Puer tea (like black tea), oolong tea and a green tea/rose tea combo. They also let us try lots of tea candies! Our favorites were the black tea and oolong tea. Lisa didn't like the black tea because it was too bitter ... when I told her I didn't think so, she said, "Well no wonder, that's because you drink coffee!" LOL. Love her! We ended up purchasing a bag of the black tea but held off on the oolong, it was just too expensive for us "coffee drinkers" :-)

This was such a fun experience! The presentation is just as much a part of the experience as tasting it! There are no tea bags - the tea is all steeped IN the water. So we'll have to pick up a tea steeper thing-a-ma-bob once we get home so we can enjoy the tea!

  1. It's a tea infuser -- and believe it or not, you can pick one up just about anywhere. :) Or, you can just let the leaves float around in the water like the Chinese do!
