Lovebug's Chicken Nuggets

This probably seems like a funny post but I wanted to document this. LOL. Lovebug dissects nuggets from McDonald's ... he eats all of the breading off of the chicken and THEN eats the chicken. It's hysterical. Unfortunately these shots don't really do it justice but you can kind of see how the chicken is in a bunch of pieces in the box. LOL.

That's my boy!

Kwurwy

I am sure it won't be too much longer that Angel is mispronouncing "curly" ... but for now, I'm going to soak it up. She always prefers "kwurwy" hair - must be something about wanting what you can't have. LOL. Fortunately I can make this happen sometimes and she just loves it! That's some serious curl!

A special farm

This was such a fun visit! I had sadly never heard of this farm before, but I am so glad I stumbled upon it! I know it was bound to be cool with all of this fun stuff!
I grew up with the fun stuff here and although it's still not at the E.F., this is close enough ... although I will say it's a bit disappointing to see that you can't go "in" most of the stuff. The kids enjoyed checking everything out though. Below is Cinderella in her pumpkin coach :-) Ahhh the good 'ole days.
They also really enjoyed the petting zoo (or petting farm?). There were chickens literally walking around with us - kind of a new experience. LOL.
This is the 3 Little Pig's house below. Isn't the sky gorgeous?! I swear I didn't do anything to these photos to make the color pop like that - I just cropped and resized :-)
There were lots of slides all over - this one was attached to (I'm assuming) Mother Goose.

Angel's favorite in the petting area - the bunnies. Her Uncle has a pair of bunnies that she adores. Whenever she can get her hands on one, she's in heaven. She really loves animals - I can soooo see some kind of veterinarian job in her future.
This shoe was what I had been anticipating ... it's one of my E.F. memories that's most vivid. I told Angel all about it but I don't think she really understood. She told me this was the coolest place though - so I think she "got" why I was so excited about it.
Unfortunately I was a little bummed to see that the upstairs is locked off. :-( I really wanted to go up there!
This was one of the only times I got Angel to look at me and smile. She is absolutely a photographer's kid. LOL.

Lovebug was enthralled with the wishing well.
The crooked house, doesn't this thing rock?!
And the schoolhouse - I have no recollection of this whatsoever.

I love how bright all of the colors are! They are really just like this - someone spent A LOT of time restoring this stuff.

I know I say it all the time ... but yeah, I could eat him.
Below was the 3 Little Bears' house.

Lovebug was in heaven with the train.
This teacup was at the beginning of the E.F. maze - which was super cool. There are mazes cut out through these evergreens and they all have E.F. goodness along them. So fun!

And here is our sad attempt at a family shot for the dossier. LOL. I don't know, maybe I'll use it. Angel is impossible for family shots - Lovebug is always such a trooper. How is THAT possible? It's supposed to be easier when they get older, right?
So we had a TON of fun at this farm. The kids and I loved it ... DH thought it was "just" a farm. He is nuts. I think the long-ish drive had something to do with his thought process. It was completely worth it in my opinion! The kids had SO much fun.

Good morning

Especially on the weekends, Angel always wakes up before us. She tip toes into our room, grabs DH's phone and sets herself up somewhere in our room to play a game until we wake up. She is so patient ... at least for awhile :-) LOL. This time she sat herself up ON Raven. She didn't seem to mind.

The Monster!

This is a continuation from the shots I took on Thursday. He's big into trying to scare us nowadays. LOL. He's the cutest darn monster I've ever seen!

The phone

Our phones have quickly become an obsession ... Angel and Lovebug are both pros at playing games on them. In fact, I'd venture to say that the kids use my iphone more than I do!

DH had gotten home from work early today and sat down on our bed to play a little Angry Birds with Angel :-)

A morning with my little buddy

It's been kind of strange (and great!) having just Lovebug around in the mornings. For the longest time, I'd say ... "Oh we'll do that when Angel gets home." I was always waiting for when both kids were home to do whatever activity we wanted to do. I have finally realized that waiting is kind of silly. So I'm trying to soak up the time I have with just Lovebug.
It's a bit difficult because I do all the errands and chores in the mornings, but I'm trying to make sure I sit down and just play too. For the longest time, Lovebug has been (as my dad describes so well) the wingman - the 2nd child - and he does it so well. But he is AMAZING by himself too ... like really incredible ... such a cool little dude.

I finally have my "only child" time with him ... it took almost 3 years of him being around, but I finally got it. LOL. I have such fond memories of the time when it was just me and Angel during the day ... and now I have the awesome ability to make more fond memories with just my perfect little guy too. SUCH a blessing this is.
I see the title of "class clown" in his future. He is 100% goofball and can always make us laugh. He is (most of the time) a pretty laid back little man, always able to go with the flow. He absolutely worships his older sister and will do anything to just be a part of what she's doing. He really misses her in the mornings!
Lovebug is obsessed with trains and all things that move. He interestingly won't touch any cars/trains that make noise ... actually he's petrified of them. But he loves his cars and trains and REALLY enjoys making them "Crash, crash CRASH!"

If you look closely, you can actually see him say "crash" in the 2 below images on the right. So funny.
I think we're going to work on a big boy train table for his birthday so he can spread out a bit more and have some more freedom. This Step2 table has been great, but he's definitely outgrowing it.

I love this next shot. LOL. All the windows were open and we could very loudly hear the train pass by at this exact moment. He LOVES hearing the trains and his face lights up if he actually gets to see the train too. Ahhh, the simple pleasures in life :-)

These are the foam blocks I have in a drawer in the kitchen. He took the time to set a few up and then crashed into them afterward. LOL. That's my boy :-)
We had a really fun, relaxed morning. The TV stayed off all day and we just played. What fun :-)
